Forum Title: Range hood switch
Hello folks, I am looking for some help. I have a customer with a range hood that has a bad switch. The switch is a 3 wire 4 position rotary switch. The positions are 1-load #1, 2-load #2, 3-load #1&2, 4- off. This switch is approx 1 inch square, about 3/8 thick. I thought it was going to be easy to replace until I tried to find one. The range hood manufacturer has gone under and there are few legible markings on the switch. I have exhausted my usual sources of these types of oddities. I can find it in pull chain but rotary seems to be more difficult. I was wondering if anyone has any info on a source for a switch like this.ThanksDave

Have you tried grainger, johnston supply?it should be available it doesn't seem to be a complicated switch. maybe hard to find the very exact fit.

Leviton & Eagle are mfg that you could google. The days of having any local 'mom & pop' electrical supply & hardware stores are long gone around here (Big Boxes).

I would try Amazon, Barnett, McMaster-Carr, Grainger or MSC supply. If not available from one of them, then Marcone has quite a bit of that kind of stuff in their online catalogs. Appliance Clinic also has a good amount of parts like that available online as well.If all else fails, I think you can still find a basic Broan range hood for under $50.00 at the big box stores.
