Honestly, there is no hard and fast rule about how much is too much.  Generally we’d say to be careful not to over-do it in open areas that flow into other rooms (like kitchen/dining/family rooms). Space the lights appropriately and alternate between recessed & pendant lighting. The last thing you want is for your home to look like a lighting store.

The bottom line is that there really is no one way to do lighting, and at the end of the day if it makes you happy, then it’s perfect.  Experiment with your style and create Pinterest boards to develop your look.

Did you know there is a Tesla SUPER CHARGER located at the Hy – Vee on Jordan Creek Pkwy.  Currently its the only one in Central Iowa and 1 of 3 in the State of Iowa.  However plans are underway for additional charging stations.  The united states is covered with Tesla super chargers.  In fact to date Tesla says there is a total of 744 supercharger stations with 4,703 superchargers.  At a super charger location you can charge up to 170 miles in as little as 30 minutes.  Plug your Tesla in and grab a Starbucks or do some grocery shopping!

I always loved the height and elegant shape of this lamp. When the shade was damaged in our move, it was a perfect opportunity for me to get creative. A new lamp shade ($9.95 on consignment), a decorative finial (taken from another old lamp), and some leftover twine gave this light new life!
